About Salland
Salland is the largest cricket club in the east of the Netherlands. Salland prides itself in being a very friendly, multicultural and hospitable club with a strong passion for cricket. Our ambition is to develop and promote cricket at all levels in this region of the Netherlands.
We currently have 4 senior and several youth teams. Our Salland 1 team plays in the second highest national division (Hoofdklasse) in the Netherlands.
Salland Cricket Club is the only club in the Netherlands that has two top-class grass wickets. Our wickets have an international ODI status which is unique for the Netherlands. This means that international matches often take place on the fields of the Salland Cricket Club.
No matter if you want to learn how to play cricket, play cricket for fun or you want to strive to play in one of the highest competitions in the Netherlands you are more than welcome at Salland Cricket Club!

On 14 April, two legends of Dutch cricket are coming to Salland! Scott Edwards (captain) and Max O'Dowd (vice-captain) will give a cricket clinic for our youth cricketers (12-18 years old). It will be a special clinic where children will not only learn the intricacies of cricket from these two stars but will also get to have their picture taken with them. Interested? Last season, Salland CC managed to reach more than 600 children in the region with cricket clinics. We will continue to promote cricket in 2024! Looking back at the 2023 season it’s been a really memorable one. Throughout the year we’ve held numerous school and youth cricket clinics. From clinics at the asylum center in Deventer, to summer camps for kids we’ve promoted cricket and coached more than 600 kids in Deventer and the surrounding region. Although this hasn’t directly resulted in more youth members it’s an important step towards making cricket more visible and building interest.
We’ve also built a wonderful training facility which will allow our members to train throughout the year, hosted several successful international tournaments and grown as a club. On the cricketing front our first ZAMI team did us proud, the under 17’s won their competition, our youngest youth members came back to finish the season really strong and Salland 1 managed to stay in the T20 Topklasse competition. But most of all i’m really proud of the positive culture we’ve built as a club. We’re competitive, play our cricket hard, fair and friendly.

Location
Salland Cricket Club is located in Sportpark 'de Vijfhoek' in Deventer.
Our address is: David Wijnveldtweg 4, 7425 AC Deventer. We share our clubhouse and grounds with Koninklijke UD football club.
The club is only 10 minute's walk from the train station 'Colmschate'.
Parking
There is ample parking at the entrance of the club.

Confidente
NOC*NSF has drawn up a number of rules of conduct to reduce undesirable behaviour within sports clubs. Based on this Salland CC has appointed a confident(e) wich members can consult if they are confronted with undesirable behaviour like aggression, discrimination, harassment, verbal/physical intimidation and sexual harassment. The support of the confident(e) may consist of advice, guidance, mediation or referral to other professional support.
